Japanese edition of 1999 debut album by metal supergroupfeaturing Riot s Mark Really and TNT s Tony Harnell. 10tracks. Scheduled to be released in Japan prior to the restof the world. A Roadrunner Records release.

Excellent Team Project In 1998 - Westworld is an excellent rock project led by TNT vocalist Tony Harnell and Riot guitarist Mark Reale. They produced three albums from 1998 to 2003.1998 Westworld2001 Skin2003 CyberdreamsAnd Tony Harnell made an heir project Starbreaker in 2005.Usually supergroup project might turn up to be a bit of letdown but this one is exceptional. ILLUSIONS: Opening is just like classic TNT sound but the fast-paced heavy guitar riff drives us to the westworld world.I BELONG: Timely heavyset uptempo rocker somewhat similar to METALLICA s ENTER SANDMAN or TESLA s SOLUTION. PIGEON HOLE: Really classic rock tasted one. Mark Reale s guitar is just great.HEART SONG: First ballad track reminding me of Led Zeppelin s STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. Really a touching song.LITTLE VOICES: Tony Harnell s soft/faint and hard/strong voice change is just brilliant.BRING THE WATER TO ME: Also acoustic opening reminding me of Led Zeppelin. But the dramatic turn in mid stage is a nice one.LOVE YOU INSANE: Somewhat like Winger tracks. Taste of early 90s.SHAME:Another of Tony s voice brilliantly being shown. IVORY TOWERS: Showing Meale s excellent guitars.SUICIDE: Acoustic ballad somewhat remnicent of that of Firehosue.Verdict: An Exceptional Superband projectRating: 94 out of 100Recommended for: TNT and Riot fans also early 90s rock fans who love Firehouse, Winger, Giant, Danger Danger.

First-Class Melodic Rock - How a death and nu-metal factory like Roadrunner ever released this gem, I have no idea. Perhaps they thought it was the punk band with the same name? At any rate, Westworld is a melodic hard rock project featuring TNT vocalist Tony Harnell, Riot guitarist Mark Reale, and Danger Danger bassist Bruno Ravel. Given the players involved, you can pretty much guess the kind of music Westworld has to offer. This is first-class melodic hard rock album. The songs are catchy and have plenty of hooks, but Harnell s vocals really steal the show. His voice is as distinctive as ever, but it s not as high as it was on those early TNT albums. To my ears this is an improvement, as it makes the album that much more listenable.TNT, Riot, and Danger Danger fans should eat this one up. It s one of the best modern AOR/melodic hard rock albums out there. Westworld s other albums, Skin and Cyberdreams are just as good, as is Tony Harnell s latest project Starbreaker.

Must Have! - I don t think I can do this CD justice with a review. Its been the best CD I ve purchased in 3 years. Its amazing!

While I wait for the next RIOT release.... - Being a RIOT fan since 1983 I bought this ablum just because Mark Reale was involved in it. Found out about the album at the RIOT website. Having read the reviews I wasn t expecting it to be RIOTish and so wasn t disappointed. Very 80s , very melodious. Now I need to get Skins. Meanwhile I m looking forward to seeing Westworld perform live at Poughkeepsie NY.
